Shut up, Artest.

Shut up, Artest.

Okaaay, I may be morphing into an obssessed Laker fan but this is just what happens to me during Playoffs season. It’s crazy and ridiculous but I can’t help it. :))

IDON’TFCKINBELIEVE THIS.

WE LOST. We lost. We friggin’ lost to the Houston Rockets in Game 4 of the semi-finals. With T-mac and Yao out of the game, I actually thought we’d be a shoo-in for the finals. But, nooooo. Something bad HAD to happen. Something ree-heally bad. Lamar Odom had a back spasm and will be gone for the remainder of the series. FCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!

The NBA is seriously starting to piss me off. First, they call a flagrant foul on Fisher (okay he deserved that) but now, a flagrant foul was called on Perkins but he won’t be getting any suspension! WTH? Fisher got suspended on Game 3 and Perkins isn’t? Ridiculous. And Bryant’s elbowing was actually questioned as a flagrant foul. The same goes with Vujacic who didn’t even do anything, if anything, it was an offensive foul by the Rockets! Are we getting too soft, NBA? Whatever happened to the days of Magic Johnson or Larry Bird? The association was kinder and harder at the same time back then. If this continues, we should just change the name of the NBA from National Basketball Association to No Balls Association. GAAAH

I’m sorry but I’m pissed off. I’m pissed off that Bryant wasn’t crowned MVP, I’m pissed off that the Lakers lost whereas they were the number one seed in the regular season, I’m pissed off that Odom won’t be playing anymore and I’m pissed off that the Celtics haven’t been booted out of the playoffs yet! Lose already, goddamit!! I almost cried. I cried over basketball before. Yes, basketball could drive me to tears, I just stopped myself this time. Ugh, this rant isn’t even enough to make me calm down. FCKIT.

Hustler

May 11, 2009

I don’t know why but I’m having this sudden attraction to make-up. Not the over-the-top-I’m-looking-like-a-clown kind of makeup, but the little things that I know every girl should know how to apply. Foundation, lipgloss, lipstick, eyeliner, bronzer, shimmer, mascara (my current love), etc. I know I’m a bit late when it came to finding out these sort of stuff but I’m feeling very giddy- like a little kid who just discovered how to tie his/her shoes. I still prefer to look as natural as possible though. I don’t want to pile make-up all over my face. But maybe I’m getting interested in all these stuff because I’ve been attendign debut parties where you have to look your best and applying make-up is one of the ways to stand out. 🙂

Okay, I’m a bit bored here at home. I have nothing to do! Actually, I could do a lot of stuff if I wanted to, but I’m too lazy to leave the house as well. haha. All I’ve been doing her e at home is checking out fashion sties and comparing them with my own wardrobe. I’m so bored that I have done a fashion show, a concert and a live talk show inside of my room, all by myself. Yes, people. I am THAT bored. Haha. But I’ve been hanging out with my friends and we’re going somewhere soon too so I’m looking forward to that.

For now, I have to take a bath and catch up on some reading. Daddy will be home any minute now so AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! :))

Pursuit of Happy-ness :)

May 3, 2009

So tita Lina is gone. Went back to the States. Her month long stay in the Philippines has finally ended. Man, this is one depressing day. Actually, It never really sunk in that she was actually gone until I got to the house and checked the result of the Bulls-Celtics game. Sure, I cried at the airport but I bawled my eyes out at home. When I found out the Bulls lost, it would be her I would rush to ad inform the sad news but the problem was, now that she’s gone, who would I rush to? I didn’t even know how to contact her!! Thankfully, she called earlier this evening and I told her about the heartbreaking loss to the Celtics. It was good to hear her voice again, even if she just left about 8 hours ago. HAHAHA

_________________________________________________________________________

To Tita Lina, if you’ll be able to read this, thank you for all the bonding moments, the food trips (we were never hungry HAHA), the jokes, the sudden outbursts, the time psent together, the things you bought us, for everything, we thank you. I will miss you very much and I am waiting for the day to come when you will be coming back (with someone with you, like you said) and with Toto, too. Hopefully 🙂

There are no goodbyes, only next times. Be happy, tita. Find your happiness because if you’re happy, then we’re happy. Always remember that you are not alone and never will be. We’re always here for you, not always in person but in our hearts you remain. And because life is too short to be unfashionable, always remember to be as glamorous and chic as you can be. 😉

With much love,

Tanya

Give me a smile, and I shall take you to forever.

May 2, 2009

So you might have noticed that I haven’t posted anything here for quite a long time. Actually, it feels like it’s been ages since I posted anything relevant here, not that anything is actually relevant in this blogsite. It’s all full of rants and raves, to be honest. But it’s meant to be that way. That’s why they created blogsites in the first place- to write stuff about yourself that nobody would care to read about except for the ones who really care about you. 🙂

So to make up for all the posts that I know I was supposed to do but ended up not doing at all, I will make this blog entry especially long. Well, I don’t know if it will be long because of the things I will write, I think it will be mostly because of the pictures. haha. Pictures that I will be posting soon. The inet’s a little screwey.

Okay, let’s get the ball rolling. My summer vacation started with our Holy Week in Aklan. I don’t exactly know when it happened.  Let’s forget about the dates, shall we? I’m bad with dates. So, holy week in Aklan. We do it every year but this year is special because we had a lot of balikbayans and cousins coming home that we really got to bond with. From Manila, LA, London and Australia.  Tita Lina went home too (after six long years) and that really made me all the more happy! I joined in picking her up at the airport and so I was really ecstatic.  Seeing her again after all these years made me feel like a little kid again, 11 years old to be exact. The year she went to the States. I’m glad she’s back again and the best part is, she could come back over and over (and over) again.  :))

Also, I got to hang out with my cousins. We, the 2nd generation of the Guevara Clan, are getting closer and closer each year. Our bond strengthens (mostly because of beer. haha) and I’m glad we got to hang out and bond with each other. This Holy week has been one of the most dramatic ones too (my dad’s speech was moving) and it got everybody’s stomach in knots, but  maybe that’s because of the beer too, i don’t really know. HAHA But anyway, the point is, with all the drama, the laughter and the tears, the bad catered food, the good home made food and all the dollars that go with it, here’s to our  family. GUEVARA CLAN, ROCK.

BORACAY 2009 was one hell of a trip too.  All 37 of us crammed into two vans (i could barely move) and the van I was in almost got hit by a speeding car and the other van with the guys in it had a flat tire. Damnit to hell! But it was all good once we got to Caticlan. We had a funny run-in with the security in the Caticlan terminal because of the non- Aklan natives. Oh, what money can do to people. 😉 Moving on, we had a blast in Boracay! We spent two nights and three  days there. A bit ‘bitin’, if you ask me. But I had fun nonetheless. We rode the banana boat after a very loooong and once again, dramatic argument with the agency that administered our ride. WHAT TRAITORS. We would’ve sued you if not for our laziness to actually sue you!! HAHA But of well, we got the ride thanks to our awesome aunts who put their foot down and their money down too. Hee, thank you!! All in all, it was great! The food was great, the people were great, the water was pristine and the sand was still white (on most parts of the island). That’s a relief. In the end, I would still recommend Boracay to everybody who wishes to have a good time and a relaxing vacation at the same time. And mark my words, I will come back next year- or even earlier.  🙂

When we got back to Iloilo, things got a bit lazier but it was good nevertheless. We hang out at Lawaan and just go around Iloilo. We’ve been taking Tita Lina to all the possible good places for a good meal. We also spend a great amount of time obsessing about the NBA Playoffs. Who’s leading the pack, who’s trailing behind and seeing if the Celtics still has the chance at the crown (we think they should burn in hell). The Lakers will win it so to all the other teams (esp to the Celtics), SORRY FOR BEING SO LAME. Hahaha Okaay, waay pa gni. Bsta, we’ve enjoyed a lot of times watching the Lakers play and rooting for them all the way.  Now that’s tita Lina’s almost leaving, it’s sad. But I know she’ll be back and we’ll be having more good times with her. My summer isn’t going to end with her leaving, maybe a part of it but not entirely. In fact, it’s just starting. So, here’s to summer and the balikbayan boxes and sunburns that go with it. Cheers, everybody. 🙂
