When the bough breaks

May 30, 2008

This week as been one of the most tiring weeks I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. Yeah, the CAT training was brutal in terms of physical strngth but UP really squeezes your brain until no juice can be squeezed out of it anymore. After one week of the Math class for eight hours each day, we now had our UP Freshman orientation. Hoooooboy.

We had another set of tests to answer. It was really depressing just looking at four answer sheets that you have to answer. Psychological testing, my @ss. Is that even necessary?! I mean, we answer the tests, you put it inside the envelopes, shove it up on a shelf & leave it to collect dust. It was a sad waste of my time. Still, it is sadly, REQUIRED.

I did get something good  out of it though. I got to meet new friends and we celebrated our, uhhmm, BRIDGE GRADUATION (ma party gd kmi ya ky tapus na amun kalbaryo) at BIGBY’S. Bigby’s is famous for their birthday surprises. The waiters & waitresses surprise you by belting out the Happy birthday song complete with the cake & birthday hat.  So, we told them it’s our friend, Chuchay’s birthday. Obviously, it wasnt. Let’s just say I COULDN’T STOP LAUGHING WHEN THEY WERE SINGING & CHUCHAY WAS BURYING HER FACE IN HER HANDS. :)))

We were late because we took a little stroll around smallville & ended up getting tired. Good thing we found a taxi shortly after our legs gave up. Not much of a stroll then, eh? Haha. Anyhoo, In the afternoon, we had games. Idk if we should even call them games. I don’t think a lot of people were actually enjoying the whole thing. It was more of a joke. That’s what you get when you’re a freshie. *sigh*

After the games came the boring part. SPEAKERS are, hands down, the worst speakers. No, srsly. They don’t really interact with the audience. they just simply….speak. It’s like talking to the wall with them. sheesh.

The day ended at 5pm. Mom picked me up,  ate at Kenny Rogers and headed home for a well-deserved rest. The whole week has been dramatic- only with no make-up, no costumes. Just US & our experiences. I make it sound so grave, no? XD

8 Days A Week

May 23, 2008

So far, this week hasnt been going very well for me.

Well, for one, our Bridge Program just started. No, no. It’s not for the stupid ones in Math, it’s just for the ‘distracted ones’  while taking the UPCAT. At least that’s what they say. I say, estupido. Yes, Im one of them. 8FCKN HOURS OF MATH EVERYDAY FER 5 DAYS!!! Can you effin’ believe that?! Myu lg I have friends sa bridge program & Jill consoles me sa dilemna ku. My brain just can’t take any more numbers. Haaaay, UP. Napulan, dungan ta suicide.

And also, I hit a double whammy. Chelsea lost to ManU in the Champion’s League Championship. All because of Terry’s fumble. It was a supposedly sealed deal. He just had to score a goal. Damn grass/rain/shoe/wtvr that made him slip and while making the kick. I almost cried when I saw Terry weeping. Lampard & Ballack were too dumbstruck to move. Yudifrggnfootah. I lost P100 because of Terry. sheesh

D Archie also lost. But I dont really care about him. I just dont like Cook, that’s why I prefer Archie. I got nothing against DavidC fans though. Or maybe I do. HAHA. Keeding. Anyhoo, I lost P60 again. Damn bets. But it’s all good bcos the Lakers won against the Spurs in Game1. I got my 160 pesos back! + an extra 40. Yey! Now, If I could just survive the Bridge thing, I’d be forever grateful to God Almighty. :)))

SAVE ME. SAVE ME. SAVE MEEEEE! Mathakit.

P.S This is the same blog entry I wrote in my multiply page bcos Im too depressed about Math & Mom in manila to think of anything else. This week isnt good.

P.P.S. Does this dress make me look fat? XD

WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS

May 16, 2008

So, get this. My throat is kindda sore right now because of all the screaming I have been doing for the past few days. Now, you may ask. What sort of leetol lazy good-for-nothing teenager like me be doing screaming inside the house on a rainy summer’s day?

Three words: N-B-A

I have been an avid fan of the NBA since I can remember. Which means, yeah. Ive been a fan for a long time now. And since forever, I have been rooting for one team: THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS

Why? Well, mainly because of Kobe Bryant. He is my all-time favorite basketball player. Not including his adultery charge, he is a pretty great guy. Yeah, he can be a ball hogger sometimes but, hey. At least he scores every time he drives it home. Together with Shaq, Horry, Fox and Fisher, the Lakers were unstoppable. They had the best temawork I have ever seen in years. The Lakers have always been among the teams that are on top of the list even before Kobe Bryant entered the scene. Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain & Jerry West were among the legends that dominated the courts. I bow my head to them & If I could, I would kiss their feet. God, they were good players. Born to play basketball, they were.

Now, I hope the Lakers could win back their title as the NBA Champions. Although, there is also one team I have been supporting. That would be the SAN ANTONIO SPURS. They are also an awesome team. I like them mostly because of the fact that Manu Ginobili is there (hee) but Tim Duncan & Tony Parker are also awesome and this trio also make spectacular plays together. I would be supporting the Hornets because of Peja Stojakovic but too bad, they’re up against the Spurs. ;DD

Whoever wins between the both of them, I would be happy to take. Just as long a s the WEST wins. I’m not a bif fan of the East, except of course for the Philadelphia 76ers when Iverson was ther but now, he’s been transeferred to the Denver Nuggets. Dangit.

Oh, well. GOOD LUCK, LAKERS! LAKERS TO THE FINALS!!! :)))

MISTER SUN

May 8, 2008

Summer makes me & my friends do stuff that just randomly enter our minds. We’re broke but we dont care, really. We chip in for the taxi ride. :))

For example, this week, we have gone to SM City and watched a movie (Superhero movie, Forbidden Kingdom & Iron Man)  for three consecutive days. After the movie, we will then go to Bob’s and buy ourselves a Mocha Froccino (w/ extra whipped cream).  Then, we would head off to Assumption where we would waste our time discussing (fine, backbiting) people. We can’t help it! It’s what we dooo.

We try to spend time with each other as musch as possible for we won’t be seeing each other for a loong time. Sembreak naman. sheesh. So, we find whatever excuse we can come up with to go out & just do whatever. My friends actually went to my house to get a hat I borrowed from her 2 months ago. We also asked for a random guy’s autograph just because we felt like it. Boy, you should’ve seen his face. He was so confused. HAHAHA! How random is that? Anyway, Here’s the proof of our randombullschnits:

you gotta love them camera timers. 😉

COFFEE BREAK. 🙂

CRAYOLA KRRAP.

if not now, when?

May 5, 2008

A friend of mine is mourning right now for the loss of her mother. Please do pray for Tita Julie. She suffered from a Cardiac arrest. It’s so sad when bad things happen to good people. Violie is a very nice person & losing her mom is very painful.

As I wasreading the flood message sent to me by my other friends, It made me realize how unpredictable life can be and how we should not wait until it’s too late to tell the people we love how much they mean to us. And so, without further ado, I say,

times infinity.

Band on the run

May 2, 2008

I don’t know if I’m just old-fashioned or something but I am just not a big fan of my generation’s music. I mean, I like Simple Plan, The Click Five, All-American Rejects, Boys like Girls, Shiny Toy Guns, Hellogoodbye and even (Forgive me, Lord) The Jonas Brothers and all the other boy bands but I am not crazy about them. I just like listening to their music, that’s all.

The bands that I really like are mostly from the 60’s & 70’s.  The Eagles, The Beegees and of course, THE BEATLES.  I am abso-freakin-lutely addicted to them guys.  John Lennon is psychedelique, Paul Mcartney is just adorable and he has the best voice and spunky personality I have ever seen in a singer. George Harrison just goes out and does his thing and he has this sort of enigmatic aura in him that intrigues me. ooohlala! And Ringo Starr just cracks me up. He is so animated! :)))

I think I have watched Yellow Submarine more than 10 times and I just can’t get enough of Paul Mcartney’s concert in the Red Square. It makes me want to jump around and sing-along. I even have my own mini-concert while watching it. Embarrassing but true as hell.

Damn to the depths whoever killed John Lennon. Crazed fan, my ass. Phooey. And poor George suffered the Big C. God bless their souls. :||

One thing I don’t like about my generation’s music and artists is that they didn’t have the camaraderie that the other artists from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s had. The Woodstock was just historical. Where in the world would you see artists come together in one place and gather more the 1.5 miliion to watch for three days? Three glorious days of peace and music. And of course, when aritsts would come together to help the needy. The Live Aid concerts were a big help. I mean, yeah, we have America gives back and all the little concerts but theirs was huuuge. I mean, It was global! Dang.

I’d love to be a hippie just living under a tree, strumming my guitar, smoking weed and jammng with my friends. I have three friends who share the same sentiments. We love them psychedelique colors, John Lennon stunners and moptop hairdos.

We’d love to hop into the love train & ride off into strawberry fields forever.
