STRIPPED

April 25, 2008

We had the COLT ’08 training for the new upcoming CAT Officers for the next schoolyear.

Yes, It was finally OUR turn to trick, manipulate, hurt, scream at, laugh at, spit at and make the applicants suffer. Oh, yesss. REVENGE IS DEFINITELY SWEET. VERY SWEET INDEED. >:-)

And so, the 4-day training went exactly the way we wanted it to. Applicants cried & begged for help, they thirsted for water, crawled for they could no longer walk and just plain suffer and be miserable for the whole training. We, the officers were loving every minute of it. But of course, we gave a bit of sympathy. A lot- if you put it generously. Which is true, by the way.

Our applicants we 30 when they started off and ended up with 17 applicants in the last day. 3 applicants didn’t even last an hour. Geez. Im telling you, this batch of applicants are very weak. Even the teachers and senior officers say so. They’re weak & no way in hell could they compare or even come close to what we experienced. I mean, in the first day itself, the applicants couldn’t even perform the squats so we, the officers/mommies of our applicants/babies had to sympathize. We had to perform the squat for them. Our command, our obey. Sheesh. But even so, we tried to squeeze their very best. They must be good enough to be officers. And yes, the 17 were.

HELL DAY was truly hell for them. Applicants crying on the floor and fainting. Okaaay. I had to give empathy somehow. My heart is not made of stone. Still, we were cruel. Like they say, you have to be cruel to be kind. HAHA.

Graduation day came and we tricked the applicants into thinking their other fellow applicant was quitting. Others cried and also quit to sympathize. Others stayed but our commandant made the others quit saying that they were unfit to continue with the training. Tears were streaming down their faces. Oh, how I loved it. Everyone soon found out it was a joke and had a good laugh. Evaluation for their ranks were tough. Others were too good, others were too weak. But still, we think we made the right choices. Ay! Baby ku nga si Therese naging Cdette Major, S5! see? I knew she could do it!  :))

At the graduation, our commandant formally ended our officership. Hmbl ya, “OFFICERS, YOU ARE NOW FORMALLY AND PERMANENTLY DISMISSED.”

Then came the group hug & the crying part. Hay nakuuu. Ndi nku officer. Shiyet. Except kung mabalik ku sa school mag COLT 09 training. Oh schnit. I still cant believe it. SERNIOR OFFICER nku. footah.

Congrats, new officers. Make us proud. 🙂

( New officers are the ones wearing the plain blue shirt. The senior officers are well, wearing whatever they want to wear. haha. Not complete )

Out of my System

April 17, 2008

Okay, so this blog entry is going to be mostly about ranting so you can ignore this blog entry now or read it & ogle over my demise. Oh, well. I can’t stop you. Do whatever you want. I’m just going to write and write and write. Some parts may not make sense but what the heck.

So yesterday I went to UP Miag-ao with mom & dad. Two parents accompanying me. How perfect. If that doesn’t scream overprotected babygerl then I don’t know what does. But anyways,  Idc. My dad’s just there because the van conked out & we had to use the Rav4 which strictly ONLY dad can drive. And besides, he wanted to check out the place. So, there.

After the 1hr drive, we got to the Infirmary at around 8:30 am. I had to first head to the dental clinic. Surprise, suprise. Clean as a whistle. No cavities. SINCE BIRTH, PEOPLE! HAH. Anyway, I filled out two forms after that. It was pretty annoying because they keep asking you to fill in your name, course, age, blahblah. Havent I gone through that enuff?! Geez. Anyway, I still did it. The lady was not mean but che wasn’t that nice either. I decdied to not mess with her since maybe her paycheck got lost in the mail or something.  I waited for my turn for the medical exam.

I made friends with a girl. She looked familiar and her name rings a bell. But I didn’t remember much. We talked. I actually made 3 new friends at the Infirmary! WOOHOO! Anyway, the medical exam was very, uhh, bizarre. Well, they make you undress all your clothes, wear a labgown which you will later take off. Then, they… examine you. (@_@)  The boobie poke, Ass check & stomach breathing part. It was pretty, uhh, weird. The doctor was Tita Arlene’s friend & she was particularly nice so I had no complaints.  She even taught me a great boob exercise. ERR. Okaaaay.

After that, we headed off to the Registrar’s Office to give my medical cert. which was the only thing lacking from my requirements. I gave the others already and I just needed this last one to get my admissions slip. My friend, Jilleah was also there. She arrived at around 9:30 and she got the number 50. greeaaaat. I got number 29- FROM THE SECOND BATCH! Geeez. We ha d to wait all afternoon. There was only one person processing the whole thing & there were alatta freshmen! Gahhhd. Can you believe it? This is what the government does for us? Where did my, I mean, my parents taxes go? Shiyit. Anyway, The registrar’s office was located IN the canteen so, it made it somewhat okay. But it was so hot in there & we had nothing to do but wait. My mom &  dad wer patient enough to wait with me & took care of me the whole day through. I got my Admission Slip at around 3:00 in the afternoon. Talk about tiring. Still, we got a lot of laughs out of it & I got to bond with my parents. I loved that part.

Oh, about that girl I was with in the Medical room? No wonder she looked kind of familiar! SHE’S THE GIRLFRIEND OF MY EX-CRUSH! Yes, Ex-crush. There are such terms now. To make things freakier, My dad knows my ex-crush’s dad & are good friends. He introduced me & my ex-crush in front of my friend & his girlfreind. Maaan. That was embarrassing.  Anyway, I got to chika all of this to my text/chika buddy & we enjoyed it a lot.

OH, UP. That is just the start of a whole year of wooden, creaking walls, tasteless ham&cheese sandwiches & more. Just pray for me. 🙂

THE PARENT TRAP

April 16, 2008

Ok, so I just had this really bizarre convo with Dad about college (expected) and- WAIT FOR IT-college boyfriends! Now, that’s unexpected. Yknow, I knever really wanted to post this blog entry but I know that it was too good to pass up & I know I shall be remembering it fer the rest of my life.

Hey, dont tell Dad I told you about this, aryt? OK. 🙂

So, there I was, fiddling with the computer (as usual) becasue I have no life. He was drinking downstairs  when he called me. I obediently obliged.

He then just blurted things out about college and about stuff being new to me & being scared of all of it. That was the normal part. I understand he just wants to make me feel secure. Ok, I get that.

But then, he talked about boyfriends & how I should not take them seriously especially in college because he says, and I quote, ” Only 10% of couples who meet in college end up together.” Okay, believable. But then he also said stuff like (this is the good part):

Dad: “Kung mahambal sila nga gwapa ka, kag palangga ka nila, huo huo ka lang. Basi mahambal ka nga tuod tuod na gid na. NEVER BELIEVE!

Me: NEVER BELIEVE NGA

Dad: NEVER BELIEVE THAT HE IS THE ONE!!!  *cue the laughter*

Oh, daddy. I know he is just making sure that nothing bad happens to me & I love him for that- but sometimes,  he has to know that Im big enough & he has to trust me. I’ll be fine when I believe I’ll be fine. Mommy is a constant nagger, too. Nagging me about stuff I should do & fix & papers to answer. *Sigh* Mom, If only you would let me handle it for myself, I could. Feeling ku dw xa nlg ya maeskwela sa college ky xa gaprepare tnan ku nga documnts. sheesh.  But, I must admit. I WILL MISS THAT. 🙂

I LOVE MY PARENTS SO MUCH. :)))

Eyack. cheesy nmun ku sbg. tama na ni. Puli ta. haha.
